Blessings to you and yours!     In February, by God’s grace, we carried the cross in eight states. I started the month at my brother’s house in California. If you’ve been following, you already kno w that my Lil’ Red Prius died after arriving on the West Coast. But praise God, I was able to purchase another vehicle at half it’s Blue Book value! I loaded up my Dodge Avenger and drove over the mountain to my friend, Jason’s, place. After an awesome time of fellowship, he asked to be baptized. Shortly after baptizing Jason, my sister-in-law checked in with me to see how my journey was going. I shared with her the praise report, that I had just baptized Jason. She responded, “I wish I knew you did that. I was baptized as an infant and would like to do it again as an adult.” So I went back over the mountain to baptize her. On my way there, she discussed it with my brother and he decided that he would like to be baptized as well! We did a short video series on baptism...

During the month of January, CrossWalk Ministry took the message of the Cross through a dozen states: Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, and California. By the grace of God, we fed and clothed the homeless, prayed with the sick and hurting, and met many needs for those in difficult times. In Arkansas, we helped Darry fix a flat tire as we discussed the Gospel; at the Kansas line, Matthew wept as we spoke about the love of Jesus; and in Colorado, D'angelo gave his heart to the Lord. Praise God for the good works He has prepared in advance for us to do! God’s creation never ceases to amaze me. I have enjoyed the sunrise in the Florida Keys and the setting of the same in California. I have seen the great plains and the peaks of the Rocky Mountains extend through the clouds. A New Season; the Same Mission I’m writing this from the Florida Keys. Yesterday I drove four hours to reach mile marker zero, the beginning of US Highway 1. After the Lord opened a parking space for me, I off-loaded the first cross and immediately a young man named Adam approached me and asked about it. I explained that I carry the cross to open conversations about God, witnessing to unbelievers and encouraging fellow Christians. He told me that he believed in “a god” but not necessarily Jesus. He allowed me to pray with him and we had a really positive conversation.  Adam told me about the “conch drop” similar to the “ball drop” in New York. I was really excited about it. The crowd was huge, streets were blocked off, and police were mounted on horseback. It reminded me of doing ministry on Bourbon Street during Mardi Gras. We parted ways and I carried the cross to mile marker zero, where I felt led to plant it. I immediately found a spot by a large tree and was surprise...

Last week I went out to do a prayer walk around the Georgia State-House in Atlanta. I had no idea how bad the homeless situation was until I struck up conversation with a man named Rick. He told me how horrible living on the streets has been for him; he was going on five years. Apparently, someone in his family had died, and he lost everything.  We kept talking, and later he mentioned that it was going to rain, which makes finding shelter and moving his belongings so much more difficult since he didn't have a buggy cart anymore. The man was basically lugging around suitcases, buckets, and  a backpack. And even though his situation might be laughable to some; my heart went out to him.  I asked if he needed anything (because sometimes we need to move beyond just prayer), and he said that he was hungry. The problem in Atlanta is that there aren't enough shelters or soup kitchens in contrast to the homeless population, and the few that are, fill up too quickly! So these p...

Grace to You -- and Peace The month of June was an interesting one. We wrapped up ministry in Louisiana, and were passing through Mississippi on our way to Tennessee. While back in Picayune, MS, we took the camper into the repair shop to have some work done.  We didn't anticipate a $4200 bill in repairs, but that's what needed to happen. The rainy season brought about some leaks, and the air conditioners weren't working right, along with several other things.  So we took the RV to the garage knowing that we didn't have the resources enough to cover it, and by the grace of God, everything was taken care of!! A check from the military came in; mind you, we had been waiting for this check for over a year now!! It covered one third of the bill!! We emptied out our savings again, and with the help of a few friends; all of our needs were met!   Now that brings us to the Kinchen family. They hosted us for the month of June, and let me tel...

Blessings to you and yours!! We began our time in Louisiana by making our 50 mile voyage in the new camper. ...and she drives great! Thank you all for keeping us in your prayers after our last camper died.   We arrived at CrossLife Fellowship on May 10th, and stayed there for the rest of the month. While there, we were able to minister to the community during the church's "adopt a block" by going door-to-door, praying for people. We were blessed by the church's cafe ministry which serves free lunch to the community. And Tobiah shared at CrossLife's Men's breakfast and Sunday's main service. What a very active church, something going on almost every day of the week! CrossLife is right across the Mississippi River from New Orleans, so at night, Tobiah would go out for ministry. Some nights he would go out with the cross and some nights he would go out with handfuls of Bibles, but every night he went with Jesus and had Holy Ghost enco...

I got onto Bourbon Street just before 9pm with 5 Bibles and 100+ tracts. As I started walking from one end of the busy section to the other I just began handing tracts out to people saying, "Here, let me leave this with you as a reminder that Jesus loves you." Most people shrugged the tract away but by the end of the night all of them were handed out! As I got to the end of Bourbon Street where it meets Canal, there were two tables with chess boards and apparently you could play one of the two men for $10 and if you win they would pay you $20. This brother, Byron, invited me to play a game but I explained what I was doing. Hearing my mission, he said, "well hey, play me for just $5 and you can witness to me while we play." Ha! Well, I agreed and played a short match while I shared my testimony and prayed for him. Blessings to you and yours!! ​What an incredible time of ministry in Mississippi! We arrived on April 3 rd and moved into our motor-home right away. As you'll notice, it has scripture written all over it! A quick testimony about that: Don and Sabrina (the previous owners), were told by a mechanic that it would never sell due to all of the "Jesus stuff" on it. But God. He had everything orchestrated for them to sell to another ministry family! ​ Don and Sabrina, (the founders of No Cross, No Crown Ministries) had just set up their tent to have nightly meetings in Picayune, Mississippi. This worked out well for us as Picayune is down South, and I had already carried the cross through the state in 2010, about 150 miles North of here. The tent meetings began and carried throughout the whole month of April, Thursday to Sunday each week. We helped Don set up and tear nightly; Evie sang a few songs of worship, and I was blessed to share messages on The Cross and ...

Wow, what a great season in Pennsylvania.  We were able to buy and sell some kids clothes at the largest consignment sale in the US.  Then we celebrated Junior's second birthday amongst family and friends.  And now we're packing up to head to Louisiana. What a season of favor, as we were added to the missionary board at Coventry Church of the bretheren.  We were also listed as Westmont Christian Academy's "missionaries of the month" and featured on Real Men Connect's weekly podcast. Totally humbled at how unqualified we are for this mission trip, and how our God still chooses to use us! Hallelujah!

Wow, I have really fallen behind with updates to this blog. Many apologies. In July, we began our 50 states mission trip in Maine. We camped in Naples and then spent a few weeks in Bangor when Pastor Bobby Bledsoe of City Reach offered to host us at his church. What an awesome, amazing time of ministry. Thousands saw the cross as I ministered outside of a Toby Keith concert and a handful gave their heart to the Lord as I ministered around Bangor inner city. In August we moved into New Hampshire and Pastor Ron Bodendorf, of Derry, (a fellow cross bearer) offered to host us for a couple weeks. Ministry in Manchester, Nashua, and surrounding towns was anointed! After two weeks with Ron and Sue, 1st Assembly in Auburn opened their doors to us. They also opened their pantry...and what perfect timing because we had just run out of food and funds! Then in September we moved into Vermont where another cross bearer hosted us! The power couple of Liz and Larry Messier met us in Montpelier ...

Oh yea, I forgot to post a description of our ministry trip... As you may know, my family just started a five-year ministry trip, traveling the 50 states in 50 months. We’re going to visit different cities and churches to share the Gospel through street ministry and carrying the cross. We’ve rented our house out back in Pennsylvania and just finished two months in Alabama at Cross Country Ministries' Faith, Evangelism, and Ministry Training Camp. Right now we're are in Maine and have begun street ministry in our 1st of the 50 states! We’re excited to get the word out and we would love for you to follow us!
